The Evelyn Rubenstein JCC is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to maintain, develop and steward corporate and foundation relationships. This individual will strengthen existing relationships and identify new opportunities to grow portfolio engagement to increase revenue, including corporate partnerships, sponsorships and grants.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track-record of success in corporate fundraising, development of commercial co-ventures and/or sales and relationship management. Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position. Must have ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and achieve results in a team environment. Primary duties will include the development and stewardship of existing and new companies and foundations, with the goal of securing philanthropic support.
This is a 30 hour per week position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic leadership, creating and executing fundraising strategies focused on corporate and foundation support; work to grow additional avenues of corporate and foundation revenue
Develop and steward a portfolio of relationships from the foundation and corporate community to provide funding for our mission
Build relationships with private and corporate foundations by implementing effective cultivation and stewardship strategies yielding long-term support and investment
Research, write, and submit proposals and funding applications
Engage with current and potential funders and partners by attending internal and external community and professional events on behalf of the organization
Maintain current records on network and in PatronManager database, including grant tracking and reporting deadlines
Deliver high quality customer service to all constituents reporting
Work with Department Directors to negotiate contracts, process grant agreements, and submit reports in a timely manner
Serve as a key member of the development team influencing and driving strategy, relationships and best practices to accomplish financial goals
Maintain positive, team-oriented relationships
Other duties as assigned
Attend donor and stewardship events
Participate in department meetings
Engage and attend to all donors needs
Meet and interact with members, guests and donors
Be knowledgeable about the philanthropic appeals and avenues of giving within the J
III. AGENCY EXPECTATIONS
Attend monthly staff meetings
Participate in agency-wide in-service training programs
Participate in agency-wide Open House/Program Registration Days/Events as required
Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of non-profit, fundraising and/or sales experience preferred
Established success in fundraising and non-profit leadership
Track-record of success in account management and developing corporate partnerships which exceeded revenue targets
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Self- starter with an entrepreneurial drive
Outcome driven with ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
Excellent skills using MS Word and Excel, proficient in computer-based information systems
Ability to work some nights and weekends
