The Athletic Communications and Video Production Associate will be responsible for the oversight of SIUE’s live video productions on ESPN+, including pre-production and/or directing of live streamed events. The selected candidate will serve as the primary athletics communications contact for designated athletics programs and be responsible for the research, writing and release of publicity materials as well as the management of statistical data for those programs. This position will produce and edit video content including highlights and interviews to be featured on SIUECougars.com and accompanying social media platforms. Game-day responsibilities including video operations and statistics tracking will also be required. Additionally, this position will support the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing in production of promotional videos, social media content, special events and graphic design. The Athletic Communications and Video Production Associate must comply with all University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the department’s needs and goals. Due to the professional duties of this position, evening and weekend hours may be required.

1. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, sports communications, sports marketing, sports management, public relations, communications, English, or a related field.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of professional experience working in the sports communications/sports information field.*

-Experience working in video production/streaming. -Clear communication skills, both verbal and written. -Knowledge of and experience working with analog, digital video, fiber and audio systems, including camera capturing and video display. -Knowledge of the routing, switching and recording processes. -Proficiency in Microsoft office products. -Proficiency in Adobe products including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects preferred. -Broad knowledge of all aspects of broadcast quality television, including field and studio camera, lighting, sound and editing.
