Directs, assesses, and evaluates the learning experiences of the students along with the assessing the effectiveness of academic programs in which he/she is employed to teach

Essential Functions for Coaching:
Must receive a passing score on the NCAA Coach’s Certification test. (Please note: off campus recruiting requires annual certification prior to any off campus recruiting activities.)
Must recruit a minimum number of student/athletes.
Men’s Basketball - 12
Organize and conduct fund raising efforts to supplement budget.
Organize and conduct practices/workouts throughout the sport season in compliance with University and NCAA regulations.
Provide off-season workout guide for student/athletes. To include pre-season conditioning when applicable.
Prepare and coach student/athletes for intercollegiate events as well as post-season competition in compliance with NCAA regulations.
Prepare and submit to the Athletic Director an annual budget for sport/team.
Prepare and submit to the Athletic Administrative Assistant monthly budget reports that reconcile with the detail ledger report for sport/team.
Prepare and submit travel expense request for away contests and other sport/team expenses in a timely manner.
Travel with team to away games.
Seasonal maintenance of sporting fields as applicable
Hire or have officials/umpires hired for home games when applicable.
Essential Functions for Faculty:

Provide projects, papers, etc. that are relevant to the course and to student learning.
Demonstrate knowledge of content area along with on-going personal study and research.
Begin and end classes on time according to OCU schedules.
Present clear, complete, and accurate explanations so that students understand what is expected.
Approach subject matter in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
Receive learners’ questions comfortably and answers them clearly and completely.
Provide consistent, un-biased feedback on student work in a timely fashion.
Cooperate with students involved with extra-curricular activities by providing assistance when they miss your class.
Make provisions, if known, for students with identified exceptionalities.
Present content relevant to the objectives of the course as found in the syllabi.
Ask relevant questions throughout the lesson to check for understanding.
Ask questions of varying difficulty.
Encourage active student participation.
Fairly assess student progress as outlined in the syllabi.
Provide for the care and protection of University property.
Select texts, supplementary materials and equipment necessary for the delivery of course content.
Accepts a share of responsibility for committee assignments.
Attends meetings as outlined in OCUs calendar.
Conduct research within respective field.
Provide community service.
Maintain office hours of 10 hours per week in addition to teaching assignments.
