M.S. required; doctorate, preferred; minimum of 3 years university teaching experience.
Serves as the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the administrative operation and policies of all athletic programs including cheerleaders and pep band, fund raising, student athletic eligibility, student athletic codes, as well as completes instruction as assigned. Makes all final decisions that affects scheduling policy, fiscal policy, ticket policy and any other phase of athletics that may be outlined by the Provost and President. Serves as official spokesperson for the Department of Athletics in matters of policy such as news releases, schedules, and hiring of personnel.

Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate athletic personnel and programs.
Develop departmental budget and maintain sound fiscal policies.
Implement the rules and regulations of the NCAA and the NCCAA.
Develop written policies and procedures pertaining to athletic personnel which further the mission of the University.
Develop policies and procedures pertaining to communication with administrative offices of the institution, the Faculty Representative, in-house administrators, coaches, staff, and athletes.
Develop policies and procedures pertaining to maintenance of positive public relations with faculty, staff, students, alumni and the general public.
Develop policies and procedures pertaining to health services and athletic training, the use of facilities and buses, the purchase of supplies, the purchase of equipment, its use, care issuance, and retrieval, and the approval of expense accounts.
Provide academic counseling for athletes.
Monitor athletic facilities as to maintenance, capital improvement needs, and vehicle replacement and purchase.
Provide administrative oversight for concessions, ticket office, and fund-raising, Sports Information Office, parking and all athletic programs.
