Illinois State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Equipment Manager. The Assistant Equipment Manger will provide equipment support to assigned sport programs. Handle all purchasing, receiving, issuing, returns, maintenance, and repairs of equipment for assigned sports. Assist in the development and monitoring of the equipment budget pertaining to assigned sports teams. Operate assigned equipment room, overseeing day to day operation and student workers employed in said room.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; AEMA (Athletic Equipment Manger’s Association) Certification within at least one year of hire date; working knowledge of repairing and maintaining athletic equipment; valid driver’s license; ability to perform budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and computer skills; good interaction and communication skills – both oral and written; managerial capabilities; quality characteristics such as honesty, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
