The Director of Operations for Rowing will assist the Head Coach in the preparation and control of the equipment budget. Manages all facilities associated with the program. Ensures maintenance and appropriate development of program facilities and equipment. Manages rigging and transportation of equipment to away races. Coordinates with visiting teams and works with Event Management to manage home race logistics. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES:
30% - Essential - Facility and Equipment Management: Manages all facilities and equipment associated with the program. Ensures the maintenance and appropriate development of those facilities and equipment. Works with Director of Athletics and relevant support staff regarding capital improvements for the program. Directs the installation, maintenance and removal of the race course. Responsible for rigging of equipment in coordination with program supervisor to ensure optimum performance of racing equipment. Transports racing shells and equipment to away races.
30% - Essential - Administrative Support, Operations, Home Game Logistics: Organizes, directs and coordinates program's administrative operations. Responsible for communicating and coordinating directly with visiting teams and Event Management with home race logistics. Coordinates planning of home races, including Carolinas Cup, Clemson Invitational and ACC Championships. Manages scheduling of non-conference opponents in coordination with program's supervisor. Attends Department staff meetings.
20% - Essential - Budget Management in coordination with program supervisor: Maintains and updates capital and non-capital equipment purchases. Tracks purchases and inventory to ensure compliance with university property and budget requirements. Assists coaches with recruiting travel and ensures pre- and post-trip documentation is completed and submitted in timely manner. Ensures travel is consistent with NCAA and Clemson rules. Coordinates official visits and ensures records are maintained. Coordinates purchases of all items relating to day-to-day operations for team, including meals, supplies. Coordinates travel planning for team.
20% - Essential - Promotion and Representation: Promotes a positive image inside and outside the University. Works with Sports Communication to promote Clemson Rowing. Directs the production and execution of special promotional events and projects. Assists the Marketing support staff with the program promotional activities. Works closely with the Clemson Video and Technology to coordinate video services especially during home events. Works with outside media vendors to provide coverage of home races.
