Brewton-Parker College has an immediate opening for a Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach. Under the direction of the VP for Athletics, the Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach is a full-time, 12-month position. The head coach will be responsible for directing all aspects of the Track & Field and Cross Country programs, including scheduling, recruiting, coaching meets and practices, logistics of travel, compliance, and developing the entire student-athlete – spiritually, academically, athletically. Brewton-Parker competes in the ultra-competitive Southern States Athletic Conference within the NAIA.
Applicants must first and foremost be committed to discipleship of their student-athletes. The successful applicant will also sign a “Lifestyle Standard Agreement”. The program will be conducted in accordance with all Brewton-Parker College and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) rules, regulations, and policies, and must promote the mission and vision of Brewton-Parker College as well as the goals and objectives of the athletic department.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Coaching and recruiting experience, and basic understanding of NAIA rules and regulations. The successful candidate will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the ability to successfully disciple student athletes. Also, strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within a budget; have excellent written and oral skills; knowledge of computer applications, fund raising, event planning, financial management; the ability to work weekends, evenings, including travel; and can demonstrate commitment to or experience working with diverse populations. Candidates must be able to recruit mission appropriate student athletes at a high level within scholarship structure as determined by VP of Athletics and VP of Enrollment Services. Must be able to lift and move equipment, maintain a valid driver’s license and transport the team as needed.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree, previous College Head Coaching experience, and proven player development record.
