JOB SUMMARY: Performs responsible program building including planning, coaching, and recruiting. Assists in managing pitching staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in managing pitchers.Assist with recruitment of future student-athletes. Assist Head Coach with budgeting. Organize and maintain inventory of Softball Equipment. Complete all required paperwork for NCAA Compliance. Work cooperatively with other members of the athletic staff. Monitor Student-Athletes academics (Study hall/Class Checks). Coordinate/evaluate umpires. Game scouting. Performs other duties assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to identify, recruit, coach, and teach highly talented student athletes. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors and outdoors in good or bad weather conditions. Travel is Required.
Bachelor’s Degree and coaching and/or playing experience at the collegiate level
Experience coaching at the Division I level preferred. Knowledgeable of NCAA Division I rules. Ability to create and maintain organization of student-athlete progress on the field and in the classroom. Must have the ability to work in a team environment. Assist Head Coach in the management of a NCAA Division I program including recruiting, developing athletes, retention, academics, budgeting, and organizing.
