We are growing rapidly and seeking a talented, hands-on individual to work as part of a team, seeking interesting work outside of a traditional CPA firm.

The Tax Accountant/Preparer is an experienced tax accountant to assume ownership of a wide range of tax compliance responsibilities. The tax professional should have strong foundational skills in the U.S. federal taxation of partnerships and s-corporations as well as be a self-starter: motivated to complete tasks, research technical issues, and seek assistance from peers.
Work in a team environment to ensure accurate and timely completion of all Federal, State and tax filings. Gather and analyze accounting date for appropriate tax treatment. Prepare quarterly estimated income tax payments. Research technical tax issues and compose memorandums to document analysis.

Qualified candidates have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor/Masters degree in accounting, finance or taxation
CPA or EA preferred
Minimum of 4 years of experience preparing/reviewing Individual (1040), Partnership and Corporate tax returns (1120, 1120s, 1065)
Experience with complex tax and accounting issues
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, tax preparation (ProSeries), accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop) and Microsoft Office suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills including effectively presenting information over the telephone
Excellent time and project management skill
Developed skills in self-management and prioritization
Strong research skills
Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills (written and oral)
Very detail oriented and able to function in a fast-paced environment with the ability to take initiative and be flexible
