The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is looking for a professional individual to provide member services, maintain its association management system (member database), and provide support for ACTFL’s member marketing efforts. The individual will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas in association management, with room for growth.

Assist Membership Specialist with the processing of memberships and orders.
Promptly and professionally handle email and phone inquiries, coordinating with staff across the organization to resolve/address issues and inquiries.
Process monthly billing and dues invoicing for ACTFL’s 12,000 members and organizational members.
Coordinate with other departments to pull IQA lists for email /mailed marketing campaigns.
Maintain/update records in iMIS, paying close attention to database integrity.
Assist in project management of membership email marketing content. This includes light copywriting and editing, basic content production and ensuring that emails are approved on schedule.
Assist in gathering/creating content for a bi-monthly digital newsletter.
Work with Communications Assistant to regularly review and refresh membership social media posts.
Utilize ACTFL Community to promote ACTFL programs/benefits/services.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
Ability to multi-task and prioritize but can also work independently
2-3 years’ experience in association management or related field
Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
Previous experience with CMS/AMS software, with iMIS being preferred
Use of Higher Logic platform preferred
