CLIA is currently seeking a new Human Resources Leader to take on developing and executing the Association’s global Human Resources strategy, focused on ensuring CLIA’s position as a destination employer. Specifically, the new HR Leader will:
Create, implement, and maintain an end-to-end talent management function focused on becoming the employer of choice, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, team effectiveness, development, retention, and succession planning with appropriate accountabilities.
Ensure regulatory and labor law compliance is monitored, maintained and executed timely in accordance globally with local jurisdictions and agencies.
Serve as internal consultant to leaders and acts as an advisor and mediator in employee-coaching situations. Provide counsel to leaders to align human resources strategies, policies, and processes with the association’s current and future goals.
Develop and implement progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, cost effective, motivating, and rewarding for effective performance and retention of the best people. Oversee all aspects of award and recognition programs.
Develop appropriate global policies and programs for effective management of the human resources, including but not limited to programs for employee relations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and employee engagement. Proactively raise and identify needed HR communications to employees.
Manage general office operations and security for DC headquarters.
You should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in working in human resources, working with senior leaders of an organization with several years in a global environment. You should also have:
Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
Proven ability to establish and lead an effective HR function, including staffing, team building, HR analytics, talent acquisition, and performance management tools and systems and the development and implementation of total rewards strategies.
Ability to deal effectively with strategic issues, as well as tactical operational details.
Ability to command an audience with strong power of presence both in written and verbal communications using appropriate business language to communicate, influence, or persuade others to accept a specific action.
Exceptional business and financial acumen to develop and implement organizational structures that support overall strategy while achieving organizational goals.
Excellent relationship building, interpersonal, coaching, conflict resolution, and influencing skills with clients and colleagues. Ability to anticipate the needs of stakeholders and ask the right questions at the right time.
Ability to build trust and respect quickly as an organizational leader with a priority for the development of staff across the organization.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong results and goal orientation.
