Primary Position Function/Summary: Under direction of the head coach, assist in all areas relating to the operation of the men’s golf program.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the identification, evaluation and recruitment of student-athletes to the University of Illinois. Coordinate website content and manage social media platforms for PSA recruiting purposes. Assist with practice supervision, instruction of golf fundamentals, and on-course coaching. Assist with alumni/community relations and the coordination of an established annual fundraising event. Assist with the operation and supervision of the golf practice facilities, along with the maintenance and upkeep of the golf team’s training aids and training equipment. Assist the Head Coach with the administration of the men’s intercollegiate varsity golf program and the operation of the Demirjian Indoor Golf Facility. Assist and serve as Tournament Director for hosted collegiate tournament(s). Administration of summer camps. Extensive travel required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree
Required: Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. High moral and ethical standards. Knowledge of competitive golf. Computer proficiency.
Preferred: Experience as an intercollegiate golfer and coach
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Starting Date: As soon as possible following completion of search.
