St. Edward's University is seeking a motivating and enthusiastic Compliance Coordinator to join their team. This individual will provide leadership and oversight of a comprehensive NCAA Division II compliance program in all matters pertaining to the monitoring, interpreting, educating, documenting and investigating of all institutional, NCAA and conference rules and regulations; as well as submitting required NCAA and conference reports.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. One to three years’ experience in an NCAA compliance office strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Basic familiarity, appreciation and empathy with the role of intercollegiate athletics and its relationship to the university, and the capacity to articulate that role and interact comfortably with those individuals and constituency groups (student-athletes, alumni, coaches, parents, etc.) crucial to the advancement of athletics at St. Edward’s University. Should possess high motivation with a capacity for independent work within the context of an intensely goal-oriented environment. Must possess an unencumbered driver’s license and the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: ^Monitor all aspects of NCAA and conference compliance including but not limited to: eligibility, recruiting, amateurism, financial aid, playing and practice seasons, and filing medical hardship waivers. ^ Serve as a liaison with the offices of the registrar, financial aid and admissions. ^ Be a resource for questions on NCAA rules. ^Coordinate a rules education program for coaches, staff, current and future students as well as boosters. ^ Coordinate investigation and reporting of any rules violations. ^ Oversee the use of compliance software system for recruiting, roster management and CARA logs. ^ Complete all NCAA and conference reporting requirements. ^ Monitor the athletic events complimentary admissions process. ^ Attend Lone Star Conference and NCAA meetings as appropriate.^ ^ Other duties as assigned.
