Dragon Athletics is searching for a Dragon Swim School Coordinator/Assistant Diving Coach. The purposes of this position are to provide leadership and direction for the Dragon Swim School and to assist the Head Swimming and Diving Coach with day to day management of the women's Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Team. Dragon Swim School management focuses on hiring, training, and evaluating staff along with curriculum development. Coaching activities include recruiting, attending team workouts, and academic assistance for athletes.
Minimum one year experience teaching or managing swim/diving instruction
Bachelor's degree in related field
Familiarity with current technological methods of coaching and communication
Ability to communicate and interact with students, children, and faculty and staff in a positive manner
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students of diverse backgrounds including sensitivity to their needs and concerns
Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check. Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon Athletics competes at the NCAA Division II level in the highly competitive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Dragon Athletics is comprised of almost 400 student-athletes competing in 16 varsity sports and two spirit squads. With a population of more than 170,000, the Fargo-Moorhead area community is the largest metropolitan area between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Spokane, Washington.
