In consultation with the Director of Individual Giving, the Manager, of Individual Giving oversees direct mail program, tracks goals, responsible for researching, identifying, and conducting outreach to new individual donors, and supports stewardship of existing donors. The Manager will contribute to the growth and achievement of fundraising targets for individual donors; supervise the in-house and external fundraising mail programs; create and implement strategic event strategies where feasible; and help attract new donors to the organization. The Manager serves as an external representative of the organization and works in close collaboration with the Director and senior leadership.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:
Proven success in creating and implementing strategic face-to-face individual fundraising of 5-figure gifts and above.
Understanding of planned giving instruments and some first-hand experience with soliciting planned gifts.
A Bachelor’s degree, with 4+ years of senior professional fundraising experience at a leadership level.
Proven success in managing annual giving, planned giving, direct mail programs, database management and screening, and gifts processing.
Experience with strategic use of fundraising database software, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
Some experience in raising funds from individual donors outside the U.S. preferred.

Willingness and ability to travel, as needed, domestically and internationally.
