General Description/Primary Purpose: Lenoir-Rhyne University, a NCAA Division 2 member and proud member of the South Atlantic Conference - located in beautiful Hickory, NC - seeks a full-time Assistant Coach for its Women's Lacrosse program. The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach provides support and leadership with all facets of the women’s lacrosse program as directed by the head coach including: recruiting, administrative responsibilities, and applying effective coaching, teaching, and mentoring techniques that result in successful competition, retention, and graduation of qualified student-athletes.
Description of Duties and Tasks: 1.Assist with all Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse coaching duties; including all on field aspects, planning and implementation of practice plans, scouting reports, and game plans as assigned by the head coach. 2.Assist with leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student athletes at Lenoir-Rhyne University. 3.Assist with recruitment of athletically talented and academically qualified student-athletes in support of the University’s mission and philosophy. 4.Conduct all program activities within NCAA, SAC, and Lenoir-Rhyne University polices and guidelines. 5.Coordinate all administrative functions in support of the program as directed by the head coach including coordinating travel, submitting NCAA compliance forms, ordering and issuing athletic equipment, fundraising, etc. 6.Perform Scouting and film breakdown as assigned by head coach. 7.Coordinate game day responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. 8.Monitor, oversee, and support Student-Athlete Academic success and Degree Progress as directed by the head coach. 9.Assist with organization and implementation of community service projects as directed. 10.Submit compliance forms and documentation via ARMS software as directed by the head coach, in accordance with NCAA and LR Compliance rules and regulations. 11.Assist with student-athlete leadership development 12.Attend all Staff Meetings – department and women’s lacrosse related 13.Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach.
Reporting: Reports to the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach Salaried, exempt, full-time position

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Bachelor’s degree required • Collegiate level coaching experience required with a preference for a minimum of 2 years collegiate coaching experience • Collegiate playing experience preferred • Strong communication & leadership skills • High level of character and integrity and a commitment to developing young people to their full potential in all aspects of their lives
