Major Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities: •Prepare rules education for student-athletes each fall and spring, analyze information provided by student-athletes on required NCAA, Big Ten and institutional eligibility forms, ensuring NCAA, Big Ten and institutional guidelines are met; •Manage all aspects of Jumpforward and Teamworks platform, responsible for daily management of software, including coordinating educational efforts for coaches and staff, serving as liaison between software company and department, provide software support and troubleshooting to coaches and staff; •Review all department expenditures related to recruiting, team travel, team meals, awards, and other student-athlete expenses; •Prepare rules education materials for coaches, staff and outside groups regarding NCAA and Big Ten Conference recruiting rules •Review and approve team travel rosters, weekly CARA/RARA logs, time management plans, phone logs, complimentary admissions and other required NCAA and Big Ten forms to ensure compliance; •Educate student-athletes on permissible promotional activities; •Coordinate approval of non-university activity and employment of DIA staff; •Educate and review camp personnel and compensation for compliance with NCAA rules; •Assist in the preparation of the Compliance Office Annual Report, NCAA surveys, reports and certification of compliance. •Maintain knowledge of and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institutional rules that relate to this position is required. Position Requirements and Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree required in sports management, information management, business management or closely related field
Required: Minimum of two years’ experience in intercollegiate athletics with previous compliance office responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess computer proficiency, experience working with jumpforward/ACS front rush/arms/bluechip/teamworks, or similar NCAA recruiting/compliance software, knowledge and experience with NCAA Division I FBS recruiting rules, as well as a proven ability and desire to work independently and perform accurate and detail-oriented work.
Preferred: Master’s degree in sport management, business administration, or related field, experience with submission of NCAA and conference waiver and violation reports.
SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with experience
APPOINTMENT STATUS: 12 month
