Castleton University seeks an individual to design, implement, and supervise the strength and conditioning programs associated with all university varsity athletic programs.
This is a full-time position and is included in the VSC-UP PAT Bargaining Unit. The salary for this position is within the VSC Grade 12 salary range, plus an excellent benefit package. Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, physical education, or other appropriate discipline with a master’s degree desirable, plus two to four years of relevant experience in related field or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Broad base of knowledge and skills related to athletic weight room facilities and management.
Progressive years of experience at the college level in strength and conditioning.
SCCC, NSCA, CSCS or CSCC certified, Instructor certified in CPR/AED.
Ability to deal effectively with a wide range of college students, coaches, and personnel.
Knowledge of a broad range of sports to collaborate with athletic coaches to plan and implement a comprehensive intercollegiate strength and conditioning program for 28 varsity sports program.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including, but not limited to, evening and weekends.
