Assistant or Associate Athletic Director, Revenue Generation and Sales Strategy Department of Athletics University of Cincinnati
The University of Cincinnati (UC) Department of Athletics seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate AD, Revenue Generation and Sales Strategy (Director of Ticket Operations) to oversee the Department's ticket office. The position's rank will be determined based on the final candidate's experience. This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.
One of three schools nationally during the 2018-2019 season to appear in a bowl game, earn NCAA Tournament appearances in baseball, men's basketball and women's volleyball, and participate in the women's basketball postseason, there has never been a better time to be a Cincinnati Bearcat. Following our third 11-win season in football program history, the 2019 season features four ESPN and ABC National games, including the kickoff of the college football season on Thursday, August 29th against UCLA in the recently renovated ($90 million) historic Nippert Stadium – a gem of college football. Fueled by nine consecutive men's basketball NCAA Tournament appearances, season tickets in the newly renovated ($87 million) Fifth Third Arena, the finest on-campus facility in the country, sold out during the inaugural season.
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer and serving as a member of the athletics department and external leadership teams, the Assistant or Associate AD/Revenue Generation and Sales Strategy will be responsible for managing all sales and service operations of the Bearcats ticket office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maximize revenue and meet annual revenue goals through sales and service initiatives, including but not limited to season ticket, premium seat, mini plan, single game, and group sales (Ticketed sports: Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball and Baseball)
Develop sales strategies, systems, and processes to consistently retain season ticket members, identify creative new revenue streams, and produce additional revenue
Create comprehensive weekly sales and revenue reports and set up live dashboards to monitor progress toward established goals
Utilize data and CRM to strategize effective sales leads, pursue additional innovative methods of data collection and analysis, and optimize significant existing sales resources (Pac7, eQuery, Salesforce, Adobe FanOne Automation, Ballena, Fevo, Oval Room Group, Reply Buy, Stubhub Integration, etc.)
Lead, develop, mentor, motivate and regularly train Account Executives, implement a sales training manual, and collaborate with staff to identify stretch goals and professional development opportunities
Cultivate a sales culture that maximizes generating revenue in an atmosphere of accountability, competitiveness and excellence, and develop sales contests and incentives to maintain it
Establish guidelines of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for expected daily output for Account Executives and track daily execution via digital “Hustleboards”
Oversee the implementation of the department's innovative Summer Inside Sales Program to promote an aggressive outbound sales effort
Meet personal sales goals as established by the Chief Revenue Officer, with a specific focus on premium and B2B sales
Supervise Ticket Operations to ensure proper reporting and accounting of revenue, elite customer service, and effective communication
Maximize the ticket office budget through efficient and strategic operations
Bachelor's degree with five (5) years experience; -OR- Associate's degree with seven (7) years experience; -OR- nine (9) years experience. Degree and experience must be in a related field and area. Experience may also require at least three (3) years supervision.
