Head Mens and Womens Cross Country Coach/Assistant Track and Field Coach
Position Summary: Monmouth University is seeking a Head Coach for Cross Country/Assistant Track and Field Coach in the Athletics department.
The candidate would be expected to: oversee training program for distance and middle distance runners throughout the year; schedule and plan for away cross country meets, including making travel arrangements for the team and meals when needed; direct student-athletes with event-specific instruction at practice and at meets; oversee recruiting (official visits, calls, emails) for distance runners and coordinate recruiting efforts with other staff members.
Required Degree, License or Certifications: Bachelor's degree, Valid Automobile Driver's License in your state of principal residence, CPR and NCAA recruiting certification must be attained within six months from date of hire
Required Skills or Software: Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must have an understanding of the University's concern for academics as well as athletic excellence
Required Years of Experience: 3
Other Requirements: Three years of experience coaching distance/middle distance runners during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons. Computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications: USA Track and Field (USATF) Level I or higher and/or US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academy courses completed.
