The Director of Corporate Partnerships will lead a team within the Be The Match Foundation responsible for growing philanthropic funds within the corporate partners constituency to support the Be The Match mission to save lives through cell therapy. This role will lead the strategy to identify, cultivate and steward all comprehensive corporate partnerships.
Corporate Partnerships Leadership:
Leads and grows the Be The Match Corporate Partnerships portfolio.
Responsible for the comprehensive partnership strategy.
Accountable for new business development and relationship management for corporate partnerships for Be The Match.
Carries a personal portfolio of accounts.
Effectively leads, coaches and develops the Corporate Partnerships team.
Maintains a cohesive and collaborative team, capable of achieving identified goals as part of the Be The Match strategic operating plan.
Utilizes leadership techniques to foster and promote employee job satisfaction, high morale, continual growth and development.
Establishes performance expectations and monitors individual and team performance.
Strategic Growth and Development of Corporate Partnerships:
Responsible for driving the growth of transformational philanthropic partnerships with corporate partners to support a multi-year fundraising campaign.
Collaborates with internal business partners, board members, leadership volunteers and external champions to achieve mutually beneficial partnerships.
Other duties as assigned.
Working knowledge of Raisers’ Edge or comparable development software.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with sales techniques and account management.
Proven ability to raise funds through corporate partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to draft successful partnership plans and to work independently.
Experience in building large scale mutually beneficial philanthropic partnerships.
Demonstrated success in cross functional team environment.
Ability to interact with both external and internal constituents.
Experience and proven success leading a team.
Excellent oral and written communication, and Microsoft office software application skills and CRM systems.
Availability for frequent travel (2-3 day trips, 2-3 times a month).
Valid driver’s license.
Ensure confidentiality of Foundation and NMDP information.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field.
6 years of development experience required. 4 or more years of successful corporate partnership experience in a large and complex fundraising environment.
Experience must include identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate prospects.
Experience in team building and leadership.
