Job Summary: Assists the Head Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach to direct a competitive NCAA Division I program in accordance with the University, Conference USA, and NCAA rules and procedures; specific duties as assigned by the head coach; recruitment and development of student-athletes, as well as a commitment to student-athletes personal and academic welfare; commitment to gender and ethnic diversity; participation in marketing, fund-raising, public relations, and media relations activities.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Performs coaching and recruiting of jumps and multi-event athletes.
2.Complies with NCAA and CUSA rules and regulations, and department plans.
3.Maintains effective working relationship with department support staff and other university personnel.
4.Demonstrates effectiveness in maintaining budget and organizational skills.
5.Demonstrates effectiveness in monitoring student-athletes academic progress, retention, and graduation.
6.Demonstrates effectiveness in maintaining discipline and control of student-athletes and program.
7.Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
