DUTIES: Serve as Assistant Coach, Cal Poly Pomona Men’s Soccer. The University is a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: recruiting and team travel, assist with practices and games, video coordination, scouting, camps/special projects, monitoring the strength and conditioning program, academic oversight and monitoring and fund raising. Ability to work and instruct team members during individual and team practices. Supports the department events as needed. The Assistant Coach is responsible for complying with all institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations. Reports to the Head Coach under the guidance of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. STARTING DATE: July 31, 2019 (Negotiable) SALARY RANGE: Salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Demonstrated history of rules compliance and thorough knowledge of NCAA bylaws. Successful coaching experience at the collegiate, high school or club levels. Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete. Must have a strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes and a reputation of integrity, both professionally and in compliance matters. Proficiency in oral and written communication and administrative abilities necessary. Knowledge and experience working with video editing software. Demonstrated ability working in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment.
