The Manager, Development Operations proactively manages and improves all aspects of the donor experience for Project HOPE constituents. This includes oversight of vendors and agencies; gift processing and receipting; donor services; CRM content, utility, and policy; and expenditures and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong donor services and fundraising background, with management experience and the technical capacity to implement industry best practice in donation management, data input and constituent relationship building.
Manages the Database and Donor Relations Coordinator
Assists in the management of mass market fundraising projects across channels
Reviews and validates fundraising data based on knowledge of fundraising goals, segmentation, performance history, and industry techniques
Ensures deliverables and key milestone timelines are met as outlined in production schedules
Manages outside vendors responsible for processing both online and offline gifts
Tracks and reconciles all expenditures for Direct Response budgets
Ensures timely receipt of vendor invoices and provides attribution coding for Finance
Manages donor gift acknowledgements and thank you receipts
Supports processes for key tasks, including state registrations
In coordination with the finance team, ensures PCI compliance within all aspects of gift processing
Submits postage requests, tracks and reports on USPS postage credits
Provides reports and information to senior leadership as needed

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Undergraduate degree and at least five years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in non-profit fundraising and donor services.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency using NetFORUM, Raiser’s Edge, or equivalent constituent database.
Demonstrated donor or customer service management experience, including donation management, gift acceptance policies, donor acknowledgement best practices, confidential handling of donor information and compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
Commitment and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, preferred.
Exhibits skills of diplomacy and good judgment.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, follow through on projects, and develop policies with good judgment.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Creativity, imagination, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adjust direction and strategies.
