Assistant Director of Big Screens is responsible for content creation, preparation and execution of elements for in-venue screens. The position works closely with Sooner Sports Properties and Marketing to ensure that internal and external initiatives are met in a timely manner with continual creative evolution to ensure the highest quality of creative content. The position includes live in-venue producing of assigned Oklahoma athletic events in addition to creative & operational support for auxiliary events as needed. The position will work closely with students for training in operational and creative production needs to support all in-venue boards and digital signage at Oklahoma.
Required Education: Bachelor Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience AND
12-24 months of experience working is sports media production in full-time, part-time or student assistant roles.
Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Strong initiative to solve problems
Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud programs including but not limited to PhotoShop and After Effects
Able to gain and maintain working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations
Must be able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively
Must be able to create and deliver effective training presentations
Advertised Physical Requirements:
Must be able to see, including color, depth perception and clarity, hear, speak, communicate verbally and written. Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods.
Experience assisting with in-venue digital signage presentation and content creation
Working knowledge of university, Big 12, and NCAA rules and regulations
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs including but not limited to PhotoShop and After Effects
Proficient in editing video using Avid or other comparable editing software
Daktronics Software and Equipment
