Reporting to the Foundation Director, The Development Coordinator serves as the major gifts officer who will design, develop, and implement the LCC Foundation’s major gift and planned giving programs. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with existing major prospects, as well as identifying new prospects. An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate the mission of Lansing Community College and the Foundation is key. The Development Coordinator is expected to energize team members, internal and external constituents, persuade prospects, and secure impactful gifts.
Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 2 years demonstrated related fundraising work experience.
Demonstrated history of cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts.
Experience with creating, organizing, and maintaining a portfolio of major/planned donors.
Experience speaking in public, creating written materials for publication.
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
Experience working in higher education environment.
Additional Salary Information: The full salary range for this position is $51,440 - $78,608; new hire starting salary is typically in the range of $51,440 - $53,241
