The Department of Aviation seeks an experienced professional who performs complex and sensitive financial, budgetary, administrative, organizational, systems and related analysis for departmental, County Manager and/or Commission programs and activities; assigns, may direct and/or review the work of professional, technical and/or office staff in a specified accounting or financial support area; has programmatic or project responsibility with County-wide or intergovernmental impact; performs complex and specialized accounting work related to the preparation and maintenance of financial records and the audit of financial transactions.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and two years of full-time experience in a professional accounting role that has provided the necessary skills and knowledge to perform all necessary job functions at this level. Experience that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions, maybe substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years. Possession of an appropriate advanced degree and/or CPA is desirable. Experience with fixed asset and construction accounting desirable. Experience with debt transactions is desirable
