The University of Arizona’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a talented professional for the position of Video Producer/Director (Athletics Professional II, Athletics Media Specialist). The successful candidate must be highly motivated, technologically capable, and organized. This is a full-time position, overseeing the video production of all sports teams. Candidates should expect to work evenings, weekends and some holidays based on sport competition schedules.

Create motion graphics and 3-D graphics for use in Athletic Department videos and at athletic events Produce videos for all athletic teams/programs Coordinates the design, creation, and implementation of motion graphics for videos and athletic events Coordinates production of game highlights for use on the web and in post-game weekly highlight packages Produces special video features Shoots and videotapes athletic events Edits videos Assists with procurement and maintenance of necessary hardware and software for video production, including cameras, servers, and workstations Supervises student workers Additional duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree Experience creating motion graphics and 3D graphics Experience developing multimedia content and promotional videos Ability to script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for projects Ability to problem solve and make decisions Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects Meticulous attention to detail Knowledge of NCAA and Pac-12 rules and compliance Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
