The Director of Individual Giving helps Lasting Change achieve its mission by maximizing fundraising from individuals through portfolio management and overseeing annual campaign fundraising. The Director of Individual Giving manages time focused developing/maintaining a portfolio of individual donors ($500 - $10,000 and beyond) through the giving cycle. In addition, the Director of Individual Giving will oversee the annual fund, assist with planned giving and will work with others in the department to plan and execute development events. This position will be an active participant in making strategic fundraising decisions for Lasting Change organizations including campaigns, donor-focused events, social media and online giving campaigns.
Achieve annual revenue goal from portfolio donors.
Ensure Lasting Change meets or exceeds its annual fundraising goal from individual donors.
Maintain strong donor communication with a high number of calls, touch points, and donor meetings.
Maintain strong eat donor profile records and engagement/activity records within donor database.
Own and execute the donor philanthropy process including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors to keep donors connected with the mission of Lasting Change, seeing the impact of their gift, and to be inspired to give again
Direct and monitor the progress of donor relationships – ensuring that donors are adequately and immediately thanked for their contributions and that our impact is communicated; with progress reporting weekly
Work with the development team to plan and execute all fundraising events; organize and lead volunteer participation and event committees
Create and implement strategy for converting event attendees to donors and/or engage them in other meaningful ways post event (e.g. event committees or engagement groups)
Cultivate “entry” opportunities for donors
Execute moves management plan to solicit increased support from donors
Create a robust donor stewardship program as well as cultivating new and lapsed donors
Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer to steward and engage board members in fundraising and the donor development process.
Work with the Communications and Business Development teams, when applicable
Create and utilize donor reports and mailing lists using donor software
Create and implement strategies to raise brand awareness of Lasting Change, Crosswinds and Lifeline.

3-5 years of experience in asking for donor contributions
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with community leaders, board members, executive team members and funding source personnel
Experience in event management and processes
Excellent organizational and time-management skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
Self-directed to work independently and as a part of a team
Bachelor’s Degree, with coursework or at least 5 years’ experience in event planning, fundraising, public relations
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and the Google suite.
Familiarity with donor software, including understanding and utilizing queries, reports and communications (eTapestry and Raiser’s Edge experience a plus)
Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign/Photoshop and Constant Contact a plus
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Available for evening and weekend hours as needed
