The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at West Virginia University is seeking applications for an Academic Counselor for Tutor Services. The incumbent will direct and supervise the academic tutoring program for all student-athletes. Duties include recruitment, hiring, training, payroll and appraisal for more than 75 hourly employees and ensuring that tutors are trained on matters of NCAA compliance and academic integrity.
Six (6) months of experience in teaching, tutoring or otherwise instructing students in a higher education environment. Graduate assistant experience is acceptable. A combination of relevant education and experience that provides the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may also be considered.
