Summary: Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Associate Athletic Director for Development/Tickets (AADD) is responsible for developing and leading athletic fundraising campaigns. The AADD also has responsibility for the oversight and advancement of the Buc Club and ticketing for program sports.
Work Performed: Work with Director of Athletics, VP of Advancement and President to plan, implement and complete annual and capital project fundraising campaigns. Work with head coaches of all programs to provide direction and assistance for fundraising efforts. Identify and work with the Director of Athletics, VP of Advancement, University development officers and President to cultivate major athletic donor prospects for approved athletic projects. Oversee all Buccaneer Club activities. Develop positive relationships with Buc Club members. Development of annual Buc Club membership campaign. Conduct Buc Club meetings and manage all Buc Club functions. Accomplish/exceed Buc Club membership and fundraising goals. Manage a portfolio of donor prospects, including alumni, parents and friends. Manage annual athletic development fundraising goals. Be an active member in the community, representing the Athletic Department at community events and functions. Prepare and manage the Buc Club budget.
Provide oversight and ticketing for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball. Work with Ticket Return to set-up ticket packages and promotions. Develop and grow season group, corporate and individual ticket sales.
Will serve as a member of Athletics Senior Staff. Supervise the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing, responsible for development and execution of the athletic department sponsorship and revenue development plan to include sponsorship, advertising and corporate fundraising effort, etc. Implementation of department marketing programs, game day promotional activities, and game day experience. Attend and participate in athletic, development and university meetings. Attend home and key away competitions. Create and distribute athletic reports as requested. Provide oversight of the Nike Contract for the athletic department.
Evening and weekend work will be required, as will extensive local travel.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ work experience with NCAA preferably at Division I level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational management skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. Must be able to establish an effective working relationship with donors, coaches, administrators, students, staff and alumni.
