Associate Athletic Director, Events and Game Operations
The George Mason University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an energetic professional to serve as Associate Athletic Director, Events and Game Operations. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Events and Facilities, the Associate Athletic Director, Events and Game Operations leads the events and game operations team and manages all intercollegiate athletic events including all home competitions for twenty-two intercollegiate sports, fundraising events, golf tournaments, banquets, galas and department social activities.

Organize and manage all on-site Atlantic 10 and NCAA championship events.
Functions as onsite Atlantic 10 Conference Administrator responsible for safety of players and officials, fan conduct, and weather related issues.
Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling and supervising all event staff personnel.
Create, maintain and distribute event schedules.
Coordinate schedules with campus partners.
Work with Senior Athletic Director to initiate, develop and maintain all contracts regarding event management ensuring compliance with Commonwealth, University, and Departmental rules and regulations.
Accurately utilize online state purchasing system (eVA) for all purchases.
Prepare and implement event budgets and financial reports.
Advanced degree or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree.
Five or more years of applicable experience in event management in Division 1 Athletics.
Ability to work frequent evening, weekend and holiday events.
Demonstrated knowledge and competency with computer hardware and software systems.
Experience with electronic scoreboards and videoboards.
