The Development Specialist is a dynamic and creative contributor responsible for developing relationships, grant administration, and executing fundraising campaigns and charitable development programs. Provide support and guidance to employees, consultants and other program participants. The position plays a vital role in supporting the planning and executing of program activities including, but not limited to events, event materials, enlisting volunteers and communication
What You'll Be Doing:
The Development Specialist will be responsible for overall program management for all foundation related activities, including:
Assist with fundraising campaigns including budgets and timelines. Coordinate the creative process and production, create printed materials and update databases and websites with campaign program information
Identify and execute best practices that result in growth of event revenue in alignment with income plans
Database management, financial reporting, assisting with creation of promotional materials, obtaining in-kind donations, and interacting with committee members and donors
Responsible for effectively and efficiently completing actives and meeting target deadlines
Oversee all details of assigned events and programs. This requires excellent organization and planning skills
Review, maintain and organize all program documents, such as grant applications, report for the Board, legal related documents and general record keeping
5+ years’ experience in a non-profit organization, ideally in fund development and event planning
Outstanding customer service skills, strong communication skills (verbal, written, public presentations) and strong interpersonal skills
Sound judgement and decision making

Experience with grant writing and/or grants administration a plus
Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
