The Coordinator of Athletic Compliance, under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance serves as a resource to all members of the Drexel Athletic community with respect to NCAA regulations, Colonial Athletic Association rules, departmental and university issues. The Compliance Office shall maintain up-to date knowledge, monitor the legal and regulatory environment of intercollegiate athletics, and abide by the letter and intent of the NCAA, Colonial Athletic Association and Drexel University. In addition, the office will administer rules education programs to staff and student-athletes as well as offer interpretive support to those associated with Drexel Athletics.
Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to provide availability to coaches, student-athletes, and staff.
Maintain steady communication with Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, student-athletes, and coaches.
Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in monitoring and evaluating academic eligibility.
Have working knowledge and Comply with all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations, which directly deal with an NCAA Division I Athletic program.
Assist the Assistant Director for Compliance with all aspects of NCAA rules compliance reporting and maintenance of all records and reports.
Maintain records and files for official visits, play/practice limitation reports and admission reviews via recruiting software [ARMS].
Administer and process receipts and requests for the NCAA Special Assistance Fund.
Provide content for and distribute a monthly compliance newsletter to the athletic department staff.
Manage and oversee the department's camps and clinics programs serving as the primary liaison for both internal and external groups wishing to operate camps or clinics on Drexel's campus.
Serve as a liaison to the admissions department, specifically as it relates to NCAA initial eligibility and financial aid legislation.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, Senior Associate Athletic Director and/or the Director of Athletics.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Athletics Compliance
Strong organizational and communication skills. Familiar with NCAA Compliance Applications. Experience as a student-athlete, coach or administrator.
