The University of Connecticut football strength program seeks to hire two or more interns for the Spring Semester 2020. The goal of our program is to provide an encompassing view of collegiate strength and conditioning, including programming, exercise technique and facility management. The internship will include set up and take down of the weight room, routine cleaning and maintenance, load monitoring GPS data collection, completion of a comprehensive educational curriculum, and any other duties as assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. Potential candidates must be highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills.
Qualifications: In pursuit of or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in an exercise science related field. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting, as a coach or athlete. Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and possess or are currently working towards certification through the USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa.
Compensation: This is an unpaid position with no housing or meal assistance. Internship credit hours may be obtained.
Internship Term: January 21, 2020 through May 1, 2020.
