South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is searching for an individual to fill a combined position of Assistant Soccer Coach/Equipment Manager. This is a 12 month benefited position at 100% effort from July 22 to May 21 and 50% effort from May 22 to July 21. This individual will serve under the supervision of the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
Expectations for this position include the ability to plan and operate soccer practices; serving as liaison for the soccer program to officials, visiting teams, coaches and others as assigned; recruiting as assigned by Head Soccer Coach; the ability to demonstrate soccer skills; possession of a valid driver’s license; a thorough knowledge of soccer skills and strategies; tracking academic progress of soccer team members; and other soccer duties as assigned. This position will also be responsible for maintaining and cataloging the athletic department’s equipment and laundry, as required.
The successful candidate will possess an earned bachelor degree. Prior collegiate soccer playing experience is strongly preferred.
