Elmira College, a member of NCAA Division III, invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Soccer Coach. The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of a successful NCAA Division III women’s soccer program, including but not limited to: physical and mental athlete development, practice planning, game planning, travel planning, oversight of team student conduct, recruiting of student athletes, and managing program budget. The position has immediate oversight of 1-2 graduate assistant employees while most of the time performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as defined by the College’s automobile liability insurance company Minimum of 2 years of coaching at the collegiate level or equivalent experience Understanding of NCAA and institutional compliance Budget and travel management experience United Soccer Coaches – Advanced National Diploma (or equivalent) or US Soccer C or B License (or equivalent) Ability to plan practice and instruct sport specific skills and strategy Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills Team community service, public relations, and fundraising experience as a player or coach Highly organized and ability to multitask Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
