Greensboro College invites applications for the position of Head Football Coach, who provides management and supervision of the intercollegiate football program. This is a 12 month, 40 hours/week position with a full benefits package.
Established in 1838, Greensboro College is a four-year private, coeducational liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church and member of the USA South Athletic Conference. With total enrollment of approximately 1000 students, Greensboro College stresses a small community atmosphere and maintains a student/faculty ratio of approximately 12:1.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Football Coach is responsible for management of all areas of the football program including: demonstrates a working knowledge of and ability to comply with all NCAA Division III, USA South, and institutional rules; supervises the evaluation, recruitment, and development of student-athletes including academic progress through graduation; maintains appropriate relationships and communication with campus offices (Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, Institutional Advancement, and Academic Services); establishes and maintains appropriate relationships with college alumni; operates the program within the stated budget; and engages in compliant fundraising activities for the team and athletic department. Areas of focus should include: advocating for the academic success (including graduation) of student-athletes; promoting the quality of the complete student-athlete experience; and hiring and retaining quality coaches and staff.
