Head Women's Soccer Coach

The Head Coach is responsible for directing and managing all phases of the Women's Soccer program within rules established by the NCAA. This position works under general supervision. 1. Responsible for the preparation and execution of practices and preparation for game competition in order to develop a competitive team. Responsible for providing leadership to assistant coach and players concerning tactical and technical strategies. 2. Responsible for directing all recruiting efforts of program including identifying needs each year and identifying potential student-athletes to fill needs in order to attract quality players to the program. 3. Responsible for program’s operation within NCAA rules. Responsible for working with compliance office to communicate with Admissions and Financial Aid Offices. 4. Handle scouting opponents - Analyze statistics, strategies and personnel with coaching staff and team to formulate a clear game plan to be conveyed to student-athletes. 5. Assist academic counselors to monitor student-athletes' progress in classwork to ensure academic progress and degree completion. 6. Establish fundamental importance of academic success and its positive/integral relationship with success of the soccer program. 7. Perform duties in conjunction with the Office of Development and Alumni Relations as it relates to publicity, fundraising, and alumni relations for both soccer program and athletic department as a whole in order to promote the team and the university.
