Head Women's Soccer Coach

This position reports to the Athletic Director and is under the general supervision of the Vice President of Instruction. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach manages and directs the day-to-day operations of the Soccer operations. The incumbent also advises and supervises athletic activities on and off campus, ensures the safety and welfare of all students, and enforces all NJCAA and college policies and procedures. This is a contract position covering the soccer season and recruiting time as agreed. Evening, overnight, holiday, and weekend student supervision is a regular part of the job. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Plans, Develops, and Administers Soccer Program Plans, develops, and administers all aspects of the soccer program, including purchasing and budgeting, as well as all areas of game preparations, practice, athlete insurance, physicals, statistics, paperwork, and any other aspects. Monitors Academic Progress of Student Athletes Monitors academic progress of student athletes and making appropriate referrals. Recruits and Retains Student Athletes Coordinates recruiting and retaining student athletes within institutional, conference, and NJCAA guidelines and policies. Schedules, Scouts, and Organizes Travel Working and communicating with the Athletic Director, provides leadership and planning in the areas of team travel, scouting, and scheduling. Participates in Program Promotion Assists in working, communicating, and developing rapport with students, alumni, administration, and community groups by making personal appearances and providing sport camps, clinics, and activities. Participates in Fundraising Makes personal appearances and organizes and participates in fundraising activities. Participates in Public Relations Communicates rosters, schedules, game scores and sport reports to SCC, local, and state sites in a timely fashion. Adherence to Rules and Regulations Comply and follow strict adherence to NJCAA rules and regulations as outlined in the NJCAA handbook. Adhere to NJCAA “Coaches Code of Conduct and Ethical Procedures” as outlined in the NJCAA handbook. Comply and follow strict adherence to Region IX rules and regulations as outlined in the Region IX handbook and NCCAC Constitution. Promote and support the College’s diversity goals; promote/support Access, Fair Employment, EEO, Equity and Diversity programs. Promote and support the College’s organizational environment goals. Maximize operational efficiency by enhancing policies and procedures, staffing, and communication processes and practices.
