The University at Albany, a Division I institution competing in the America East Conference, is seeking applications for a full-time (12 month) Head Women’s Soccer Coach. Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to, practice and competition coaching, program administration, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, scheduling and compliance with NCAA, America East Conference and University regulations.
A bachelor’s degree is required (master’s preferred) from a college or university accredited by a US Dept. of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization, with previous successful collegiate coaching experience required (preferably 1-3 years of Division I experience). Successful candidates must demonstrate a commitment to student-athlete academic success and rules compliance. A demonstrated ability to recruit and work with culturally diverse groups of people is required. Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules are required in addition to strong organizational, oral, written communication and computer skills.
