The successful candidate for Assistant Women's Rowing Coach will assist head coach with all administrative aspects of conducting an intercollegiate women's rowing program. Heavy emphasis on recruiting student-athletes. Responsibilities will include facilitating and assisting in the administration of all phases of the intercollegiate program; including, but not limited to coaching, recruiting, fundraising, and acting as the primary coach for novice squad. Candidate must demonstrate: a significant knowledge of rowing; strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes; knowledge and commitment to University and Conference regulations; good communication and technology skills, and strong leadership qualities.
- All recruiting, practices, competitions, and team meetings throughout the rowing season.
- Travel planning for competitions, including trailer driving to regattas.
- Maintenance and control of equipment inventory.
- Roster maintenance, student-athlete eligibility and retention related matters.
- Alumni relations and alumni targeted fundraising.
- The planning and execution of official visits for prospective student-athletes
- Planning and implementation of a social media strategy targeting various constituencies including alumni, parents, student-athletes and fans.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Experience coaching at the collegiate or competitive high school or club level is highly preferred. Impeccable integrity with a thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with NCAA rules and regulations. Must possess excellent communication skills.
Additional Information: Position includes overnight and weekend travel.
