The University of Northern Iowa Athletic Department is seeking qualified applicants for a Athletic Marketing Graduate Student position.
Responsibilities will include:
Assist the UNI Athletic Marketing staff in the development, coordination and implementation of marketing, promotional and fan experience efforts for all 17 sports and any specific sport or event to which you are assigned.
Lead the marketing initiatives for select sports, including: Preparing the promotions schedule for home events. Collaborating with coaches to identify and implement grassroots marketing activities. Designing promotional graphics for use in email marketing, digital and social media platforms. Directing game entertainment by producing game scripts, assembling music playlists and managing marketing displays. Improve the atmosphere at each event through the use of games, giveaways, contests, trivia and music, etc.
Coordinate the fulfillment of sponsorship, development, ticketing and merchandise needs to help maximize all revenue sources
Provide leadership and assist in overseeing the intern program and their assigned responsibilities.
Promote athletic events and communicate promotions within the student body
Assist in managing community outreach efforts to promote marketing programs to the community.
Assist with the management of TC’s Kids Club
Provide assistance in creating content, managing daily operation, and scheduling of social media platforms.

Bachelor’s degree with genuine interest in athletics and the sport industry. Must be accepted to the Graduate College to fill this position.
Possess strong organizational, communication and time-management skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Adobe Creative Suite
Flexibility to adapt to changing plans, occasionally with little notice
Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays is required
Prior experience in collegiate marketing and promotions is preferred.
