The University of Dayton, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference and Pioneer Football League is accepting applications for an Assistant Football Coach. The assistant coach will report to the head coach and assist in all aspects of managing and retaining a successful varsity collegiate program. This position coaches the offensive line and will support the head coach in organization, planning and directing all aspects of our Division I program. The assistant coach will primarily instruct, train and coach student-athletes in team and individual environments about the sport, the offensive game and skills required; instruct student-athletes for purposes of academic, social development, compliance requirements, and safety and health considerations. Additionally, the assistant coach will assist in recruiting quality student-athletes; assist the head coach in program leadership, including team composition, scheduling, competition strategies and peak performance. The assistant coach will assist with additional duties related to coaching (e.g., compliance education, budget management, fund raising/donor relations, equipment procurement, and other duties as assigned by head coach). This is a full time, 12 month position with full benefits. Bachelor's Degree Experience as an intercollegiate football player Experience coaching offensive line in college
Experience recruiting collegiate athletes Demonstrate excellent written communication skills Valid driver's license, maintain a low risk driving record and able to be insured by the University Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Experience working collegiate sports campus Strength training experience Knowledge of NCAA Div I Football rules and regulations Knowledge of computer video editing systems and software Demonstrate excellent organizational, teaching and and interpersonal communication skills
