Position Summary: Valley City State University is searching for an Assistant Volleyball Coach. The assistant coach, in conjunction with the head coach, is responsible for scheduling competitions and planning practices; recruiting, coaching, mentoring and retaining student athletes; arranging team and recruiting travel; supervising student coaches; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; successful coaching at the collegiate or high school level; successful coaching at the high school/club level, and/or successful playing career at the collegiate level (or a combination).
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree, accomplished coaching background, excellent communication skills; strong organizational and leadership skills; a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain academically and athletically successful student-athletes; a commitment and history of integrating the student athlete into the campus community of a small college.
