The Director of Sports Medicine is responsible for the overall administration of the Portland State University sports medicine program.
Serves as the Health Care Administrator for the Department of Athletics in compliance with NCAA requirements.
Ensures the physical, emotional and social welfare of the student-athletes by adhering to all NCAA Mental Health Policies.
Master’s degree is required with an emphasis in sports medicine;
Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association.
Demonstrated experience in the area of sports medicine and the ability to supervise a university’s sports medicine program.
Additional Salary Information: The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
