Defiance College, an NCAA D-III institution and member of the HCAC, seeks an individual to serve as assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track and field and cross country programs. The individual will provide organization and leadership for all phases of these programs and responsibilities will include recruiting, meet preparation, practice organization, fund raising, mentoring of student-athletes, and developing annual service/engagement projects for student-athletes.
A bachelor’s degree, previous collegiate coaching and recruiting experience, and a valid unrestricted driver’s license are required. A master’s degree, USATF or USTFCCCA coaching education certification, and ability to coach multi-events preferred. This position requires some evening and weekend work combined with business hours and some recruiting travel.
