Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Sports Information.
Primary Job Duties: Assist in day-to-day operations in the Sports Information Office, including serving as a primary contact for several sports; Supervise gameday and in-office when Director is not present; press release writing; website statistical and historical data maintenance; coordinate Sea Gull Sports Network which includes recruiting, hiring and supervising 25-30 student staff which will produce live video coverage of all home athletic events and generate video content for the athletic department.
Minimum Qualifications: One-three years of related experience; Bachelor’s degree in a related field; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and stat programs (StatCrew, Presto Sports, NCAA Live Stats).
Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory experience is preferred.
This is a full-time, exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
