Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a full-time Women’s Lacrosse Intern position to begin August 2020. This is a 40-hour-per-week, one-year internship which is renewable for an additional year based on performance. Hourly rate $11.00 with limited benefits included.
FSU boasts 22 varsity sports (10 men/12 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference. The Bobcat women’s lacrosse program was started in 1966, is Frostburg’s second oldest spring sport, and has nearly 350 wins since the first season of varsity competition. Since 2010, Frostburg has made five postseason appearances and was picked to win the MEC in its first season at Division II this past spring (2020).
Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with coaching and supervision of the Women’s Lacrosse Team. Help monitor and advise student-athletes to ensure academic success. Assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Other related duties as assigned. Application materials will be reviewed and considered as received. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year of coaching or other related work experience. Previous competing experience at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or two years of coaching experience.
