Establishes and maintains an Athletic Compliance program to ensure the proper transmission and interpretation of National Collegiate Athletic Association, Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletic Association, and university policies and procedures. Conducts rules education for coaches, staff, and student athletes. Develops and implements procedures to ensure rules notification and compliance and to facilitate ongoing monitoring efforts. Reviews existing policies and procedures and makes modifications as necessary to insure the proper monitoring and auditing of rules compliance. Coordinates the recruitment and signing of prospective student athletes. Assists in administering the day-to-day internal operations of the athletic program. Assists in the development and monitoring of operating budgets; develops and monitors scholarship budgets. Assists in the hiring and supervision of coaching staff, other personnel, and student employees. Assists in the administration of all scheduled university athletic events; serves as contest administrator for these events. Prepares annual compliance forms and reports. Serves on various university committees as assigned. Performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Ability to maintain required attendance.
